Dooley's Ann Arbor 15 oz. Mug
Dooley’s, at 310 Maynard in down- town Ann Arbor, was a favorite stu- dent hangout for 16 years from 1976 until it’s rather notorious demise in 1992. No establishment the likes of Dooley’s lasts for that long without doing something (or many things) right, and Dooley’s nondescript in- terior and shabby charm made it a go-to among the student population during the heyday of great A2 “joints” like the Del Rio, Mr. Flood’s Party and the original Blind Pig. However, multiple student fights and WAY too many visits by the Ann Arbor police — not to mention some rampant underage drinking and, oh yeah, some unpaid state taxes spelled the end in the fall of ‘92 (Scorekeeper’s is now open in the same location).
