We're definitely doing our best to keep it weird here with this awesomely-curated collection of throwback joints that Austinites and U.T. students of a certain age will remember (sort of)! Before today’s Austin came into being — with it’s amazing food truck culture and corporate tech boom times — there was a simpler, grittier scene that defined the dawn of the capital city as the "Live Music Capital of the World." Herewith, our homage to those great years in the 70s, 80s and 90s!
